BattleSauce has been quiet.
Here's why.
Dungeon Maker was supposed to be done by now, with additional content ready to go. It isn’t, and you deserve to know why.
The honest version is that BattleSauce underwent a significant transition, shifting from a two-person team to a solo studio. And unfortunately, Dungeon Maker got caught in the middle of it. Scope shifted, priorities shifted, and a product that was nearly finished ended up taking a backseat while the entire BattleSauce universe paused, needed a rethink, and even a new direction.
The good news is that BattleSauce is once again in motion, and the core concept of Dungeon Maker is still strong and still coming. I believe Dungeon Maker remains the most universally useful addition in the BattleSauce catalog: a tool for SauceBosses, GMs, DMs, and any other Ms who need a dungeon right now, not next session. In that regard, Dungeon Maker deserves to be done right rather than done fast.
A proper update is coming soon. Thanks for waiting.
Get a taste of the system-agnostic Dungeon Maker with this free set of five modular Tavern tiles, designed to drop straight into your next session. The pack includes two distinct dining areas, a connecting hallway, a fully equipped kitchen tile, and a storage room/cellar tile with secret doors. These tiles are perfect for tavern brawls, secret meetings, or any scenario when players need a place to recover or regroup for when you need a reliable tavern setup on short notice.
Each tile is high-resolution, print-ready, and delivered in four versions: gridded, ungridded, transparent-background PNGs, and JPGs.
Use the Dining Room tiles to create two different taverns, link them together with the hallway tile, or create a tavern with two floors!
